There will always be the players from the Northwoods League and the Coastal Plains League at the top of these catorgories because they play more games that any of the other summer leagues. Hope this is taken into conideration when annoucing any awards.

Jared DeLong didn’t steal 34 bases for the Edenton Steamers last summer. I don’t think he even reached double digits. SCL.com should go back and double check that and then adjust its leaderboard accordingly.

  • admin (author) said:

Good catch, Alex. I double checked and DeLong only had 10 stolen bases in 2009. My bad. I’ve fixed it and two guys that weren’t on the list previously moved up with 29 stolen bases each. If you see anything else, just let me know. Thanks!

    Chris —

Thanks for the note. I double checked the Chillicothe Mudcats stats on the MINK website and it indicates that Darian had 33 stolen bases in 2009.
