The Edmonton Prospects of the Western Major Baseball League have announced the hiring of Drew Roberts to be the team’s head coach in 2010.

Roberts played college baseball at Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH.  He received his bachelors degree at Xavier and is currently pursuing a masters degree.

Roberts began his coaching career while he was still playing at Xavier.  During the summer, he coached the Cincinnati Stix amateur baseball club.  In 2006, Roberts interned with the Cincinnati Steam of the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League while also playing for the team.  He is currently a volunteer assistant coach at Ohio University.
