Eric Brock Joins Honkers Coaching Staff
The Rochester Honkers of the Northwoods League have hired Eric Brock to be their pitching coach for the 2010 season. He will work under the direction of head coach Ryan Ruiz.
Brock was a high school baseball star who was drafted by the Houston Astros. Instead of agreeing to terms with the Astros, Brock chose instead to play baseball at Arizona State University. He also attended Saddleback College in California before spending his final two years of college playing baseball at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. At UNLV, Brock helped lead the Rebels to the Mountain West Conference championship in 2005 and he was selected team captain in 2006.
Following his college career, Brock played professionally with the Utica Brewmasters of the New York State League and the Reno Silver Foxes of the Golden League. He is currently an assistant baseball coach at Saddleback College.
