The Florida Collegiate Summer League saw quite a bite of turnover among their general managers this past off season.  Four of the five teams in the league hired new GMs to lead them into their 2010 campaigns.

Here is a little bit about each new GM:

The Orlando Mavericks, who moved from Clermont to their new home in Orlando, have hired Jonathan Wano as their new GM.  Wano played collegiate baseball at Rollins College for four years.  He also played summer college baseball for the Winter Park Diamond Dawgs of the Florida Collegiate Summer League.  In addition to his duties as the Mavericks new GM, Wano serves as a pitching instructor for 3H Sports in Orlando.

Marc Wassum will serve as the GM for the Sanford River Rats.  He is a graduate of Mars Hill College in Mars Hill, NC.  He played in the Florida Collegiate Summer League for three seasons with three different teams from 2004-2006.  In addition to his duties with the River Rats, Wassum is active in the Sanford Chamber of Commerce as well as the Lake Mary Toastmasters club.

Cheryl Lacey has been named as the Winter Park Diamond Dawgs general manager for the 2010 season.  She is a graduate of the University of Central Florida where she received a degree in finance.  Lacey is involved in the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce and belongs to the Orlando Runners Club.

The DeLand Suns new GM will be John Stern.  He is a graduate of Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC where he earned a degree in Sports Management and served as the equipment manager for the school’s baseball team.  Stern is a former intern with the Florida Collegiate Summer League .
