Mike Davis and Willie Kempf, both of the Victoria Generals, have been named the Texas Collegiate League Players of the Week for the week ending July 5. 

Davis hit .500 for the Generals including a home run and five RBI.  For the season, Davis, a junior ay Lambuth University, is hitting .342 with two homeruns, two doubles, and two triples in 25 games.  He’s scored 17 runs and has 17 RBI.

Kempf, a junior at Baylor University, pitched 6.2 innings during the week, giving up just one hit and one earned run.  He struck out eight and walked two.  This year, Kempf is 1-0 with a 2.81 ERA.  He has pitched 25.2 innings and has given up 16 hits, struck out 33 and walked 14.
