The Rochester Honkers of the Northwoods League have hired Andy Wadewitz to be their Assistant Director of Operations.  This is Wadewitz’ second go-round with the Honkers.  He worked on the game day staff in 2006.

Wadewitz is a native of Chatfield, MN and graduated from the University of Miami with a degree in sports administration.  He was very active in intramural sports at the University of Miami, supervising officials and overseeing operations.

Upon graduation, Wadewitz went to work for the NHL’s Florida Panthers.  His duties were varied, including writing for the Panther’s Insider magazine, distributing news articles, and assisting in the pressbox.
