The Wayneboro Generals of the Valley Baseball League have named Ronnie Palmer as the team’s manager for the 2010 season.  He takes over a Generals team that failed to qualify for the post season in 2009 for the first time in the franchise’s three year history.

Palmer is currently the head baseball coach at Davis & Elkins University in Elkins, WV.  Prior to joining the coaching staff at Davis & Elkins, Palmer worked as an assistant coach at Salrem Community College in New Jersey.

Palmer played college baseball at Davis & Elkins under head coach Lawrence Nesselrodt, the General current director of baseball operations.  As a player, he set school records for homeruns in a season and runs batted in.
