The Southern Ohio Copperheads of the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League have hired Ben Strunk as their new Director of Media Relations.  He will be joined by the team’s new play-by-play announcer, John Corum.

Strunk is a native of Columbus, OH and is currently a junior at Ohio University.  He formerly served as a sports reporter for the Delaware (OH) Gazette.  He takes over for former Director of Media Relations Brian Boesch who left the organization to become the radio voice of the Burlington Royals, a rookie league affiliate of the Kansas City Royals in Burlington, NC.

Corum is also a junior at Ohio University.  He has worked as the PA announcer for the Ohio University baseball team and has also worked on the Ohio University football show “Gridiron Glory.”  Corum is also part of a weekly radio sports talk show called “Sports Beat” on 1340 AM WOUB.
