Asheboro Adds Assistant Coach
The Asheboro Copperheads of the Coastal Plain League have announced the hiring of Anthony Hayes to be an assistant coach with the team for the 2010 season. He will work alongside Copperheads Head Coach Donnie Wilson.
Hayes is a graduate of Charleston Southern University where he played baseball and served as the team capitan during his senior year. Following graduation, he worked as an assistant coach for the Charleston Southern baseball team before accepting a position as an assistant coach at Lake Erie College in Ohio. During the summer of 2009, Hayes served as an assistant coach with the Outer Banks Daredevils of the Coastal Plain League, helping lead the team to a post-season berth.
