Laramie Colts Get New Owner
The Laramie Colts of the Mountain Collegiate Baseball League have been sold. Former owners Matt and Heidi Peterson have confirmed that they have sold the team they have owned since it’s inception to Dr. Kent and Nicko Kleppinger.
The Kleppingers, like the Petersons, are very involved in the community in Laramie and are baseball fans and supporters. In fact, the Kleppingers have been involved with the Colts in the past, serving as a host family for Colts players. Kent kleppinger owns a pediatrics practice in Laramie and is a primary care physician for University of Wyoming sports.
The Petersons decided to sell the team in order to spend more time with family. They have owned the team, one of the original Mountain Collegiate Baseball League franchises, since 2004.
