Dorzweiler Returning As Head Coach in Thomasville

thomasville-hitomsThe Thomasville Hi-Toms of the Coastal Plain League have announced that Head Coach Tom Dorzweiler will return for the 2010 season.  Dorzweiler took over the Hi-Toms toward the end of the 2009 season and helped lead them to the playoffs.

Dorzweiler is a graduate of the University of Kansas.  Following his college playing career, he was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals and played in the Cardinals organization for six years. 

Dorzweiler preiously served as an assistant coach for the Kernersville Bulldogs, a former Coastal Plain League team, where he coached for five years.  In 2008 he joined the Hi-Toms coaching staff and worked with the team’s pitchers.  He took over as head coach toward the end of July 2009 and guided the team into the post season.
