niagara-powerThe Niagara Power of the New York Collegiate Baseball League has hired Eric Ebers to be their head coach for the 2010 season.  He replaces Sam Kirby who managed the team for the past three years.

Ebers, who pitched collegiately at Mississippi State University, is currently the head baseball coach at Columbus High School in Columbus, Mississippi.  He was recently offered a coaching position at the University of Tennessee – Martin, but had to turn the job down for family reasons.  While in college, Ebers played in both the MINK League and the Northwoods League.  Following his college career, he went on to play professionally in the Frontier, Northern, and American Association Leagues.
